You’ve known my previous entry for Vung Tau which was an easy escape from Saigon. In this entry is another easy escape away from the dusty continuously developing city to the endless summer by the beach, Mũi Né.
Mũi Né, located just 4 to 5 hour-car drive from Saigon, depending on seaside road or national highway. We took the former to feast our eyes with the coastal lines.

Where we stayed: Mui Ne Hills Resort, it’s not next to the beach but it has the most scenic view ever from the slope by the main road. It has 2 swimming pools and architecture resembles Santorini, exciting much! Thanks to our friend’s relationship with the owner, we got the upgrade to the sea view room with a huge balcony facing the beach, beautiful setting for a sunset contemplating session.

What to do:
Besides the parachuting that flocks the sky of Mui Ne, you can enjoy quality time at these places for a change. Who says we cannot just chill by the beach without hitting the water?
La Costa Bistro & Cafe: contemporary design and tropical trees dashed up the atmosphere with homemade treats and huge portion of drink at a reasonable price were all we need. A highly recommended cafe.

Sandals Restaurant @ Mia Resort Mui Ne: fairly high price but with a beach view ahead and endless wind blows, what else do you ask for? Will come back, certainly, just to chill for hours.

Notice: Make sure you don’t check out the coastal restaurant namely “Bờ Kè” (there are hundreds of them ready to trap tourists), they are overcharged and the seafood quality didn’t meet our expectation.
Had a decent time here and it proved that summer never ends in the south of Vietnam, where you can eat, drink, play under the sun without worrying about the cold. Beware of those sun heat though.
